In this talk we introduce a new connection between geometric group theory with rational dynamics passing through tropical geometry. As an application we construct infinitely quasi recursive rational dynamics.

The closure of a nilpotent orbit of a complex simple Lie algebra has symplectic singularities.  In this talk I will look at these objects from the view point of birational geometry.

2011年11月04日星期五下午4:00~~5：00      Yoshio Tsutsumi, Stability of stationary solution for the Lugiato-Lefever equation
I talk about the stability of stationary solution for the Lugiato-Lefever equation with periodic boundary condition in one space dimension, which is a damped and driven nonlinear Schrodinger equation introduced to model the optical cavity. We use the Strichartz estimate  for the linear damped Schrodinger equation with potential and external  forcing to show the asymptotic stability of certain stationary solutions  under the initial perturbation within the framework of $L^2$. This is a joint work with Tomoyuki Miyaji, RIMS and Isamu Ohnishi, Hiroshima University.
