Abstract: A transformation, which maps the generalized nonautonomous nonlinear Schrodinger equation(GNNLSE) to the standard nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE), is given explicitly. This shows that the GNNLSE is an integrable system, and the non-isospectral feature of the NLSE is not essential because of the iso-spectral feature of the standard NLSE. Furthermore, its solution can be obtained from the known solution of the standard NLSE.
