李寒峰教授简介：重庆大学特聘教授，美国纽约州立大学水牛城分校教授。主要从事泛函分析、算子代数、非交换几何、动力系统和数论的研究。获美国国家自然科学基金项目3项，在国际顶尖学术期刊上发表或接受的学术论文20多篇（其中Annals of Mathematics 1篇, Inventiones Mathematicae 2篇, Acta Mathematica 1篇，American Journal of Mathematics 1篇，J. Functional Analysis 4篇, Tran. AMS 1篇，Math. Ann. 3篇）。

讲座简介： 

INTRODUCTION TO MORITA EQUIVALENCE

Morita equivalence is originally an equivalence relation between unital rings. It is weaker than the isomorphism relation, but strong enough to preserve many invariants such as K-theory. Later it is developed for C*-algebras, and has become one of the basic tools in noncommutative geometry.

If time allowed, I will discuss the following:

(1) Morita equivalence for unital rings.

(2) Algebraic K0 and K1-groups.

(3) Basics of C*-algebras.

(4) Hilbert C*-modules.

(5) Morita equivalence for C_-algebras.

It is very unlikely that we can finish all these topics. We shall proceed as much as we can.
