Call for papers

East China Normal University is organizing an International Conference on Actuarial and Finance Risks. The conference will be held at East China Normal University, Shanghai, China from January 4-5, 2010. 

The conference gives researchers in actuaries the opportunity to present their latest work in the areas of actuarial risk, finance risk and related topics. The conference will be served as a platform for researchers in the area to exchange ideas and to start join research projects. It also allows practicing actuaries who are interested in the implementation of results to make direct contact with researchers and learn recent developments. The sponsors of the conference include: East China Normal University, Fudan University, The University of Hong Kong, Towers Perrin, The Actuarial Committee of Chinese Probability and Statistics Institute.

    The conference will also provide opportunities for research students in the area to learn the most recent development of the subject from world well-known experts. Professor Hans Gerber of University of Lausanne, Switzerland, Professor Sheldon Lin of University of Toronto, Canada, and Professor Xunyu Zhou of University of Oxford, UK have agreed to speak in the conference.

    Information about the conference can be found on http://www.sfs.ecnu.edu.cn/. Please register and submit your abstracts to lyqian@stat.ecnu.edu.cn by December 15, 2009. Registration fee is RMB 500 for participants inside China and RMB 2000 for participants abroad. The conference will provide attendance certificates to registered participants for the SOA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Requirements.
